16+ Xianxia, Fantasy, MysteryTwo talented disciples from respected clans meet during their youth and form a close affinity, only to be separated by dire circumstances. Sixteen years later, can they unravel the tragedy of the past to solve the mysteries of the present?
Why I love it:this series is adapated from the mdzs novel and while it deviates from the source material quite a bit, i still love it. i think the actors did a phenomonal job. i also appreciate that it had 50 episodes of 45 minute length. it felt very fleshed out and unrushed.
Abbott Elementary (2021)
12+ Mockumentary, ComedyA workplace comedy centered on a group of dedicated teachers - and an oblivious principal - in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life.

Why I love it:this is the donghua/animated adaptation of the mdzs novel. i do recommend watching some of it before you read the novel; i find that seeing the characters and different sects helps when reading the novels. the animation itself is really neat with great character designs and it is more faithful to the novel than the tv adaptation (the untamed/cql).

Why I love it:this is a film i rewatch all the time. it's feel good (with some angst of course!) super fun, and all about the found family trope. also, it's gay AF and the animation slaps. go watch it.
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (2018)
10+ Action, AdventureTeen Miles Morales becomes the Spider-Man of his universe and must join with five spider-powered individuals from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.
